Complete, classic car restoration and service

Work continues on this 1966 Ford Mustang. Classic Restorations has painted it and is now moving on to putting it back together. It has come a long way from being under a shed up in Bolivar County, Ms. The car was bought new by the current owners.

Classic Restorations has received this nice 1966 Ford Mustang convertible which is housed in Copiah County Mississippi. We are doing a complete restoration on the car which has been owned by the same family for many years. It was originally a dark green color but was repainted red many years ago. We are repainting it, and it will stay red. We are rebuilding the 289 V8 engine and also the 3 speed manual transmission, rear differential as well. It has been stored under cover for many years and the rust is not terrible. Ford built 422,416 Mustangs in 1966. To say that was a good seller would be an understatement. In a long production run beginning in 1964 over 10 million have been built.

This little 1966 Ford Mustang has its original 6 cylinder engine. Classic Restorations sent this engine off to a rebuild outfit on the West Coast. We are now putting it back in the Mustang. It soon will be 1966 all over again! The original buyers on the Mustang still own it! A number of miscellaneous parts are being painted and put back on the real red Mustang.

Work continues on this super rare Shelby GT500. This is one of less than 1371 built during the 1969 production run - 1157 fastback hardtops and 214 convertibles. These cars command very high resale prices. It has its original 428 Ford engine. The owner wants the 'patina' on the car to remain. That is, the original paint will stay original. The engine bay and interior will look fresh but the exterior of the car will remain as it was in 1969 (with 57 years of age on that!)

The body and paint work is about complete on this 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser and Classic Restorations is putting it back together. We marked and labled parts carefully as they were removed to make it some easier to put this jig saw puzzel back together. The little truck has had a color change from Yellow to this nice Blue.

Classic Restorations works on many vehicles and many at one time or the other do not run. We have bought a used John Deere 855 diesel tractor mainly to pull these cars around our shop and lot. It has a box blade and we will use that some as well as a 72" finishing mower. We have done a bit of maintenance work on this fine tractor that had belonged to one of good clients. We also have repainted it in the well known John Deere Green/Yellow. With good maintenance you just about cannot wear these things out.
