The Benz Shop documents every inspection with photos and video so the customer has a record long after they've left the shop.

That oil leak Adrian flagged today? If it shows up on the floor six months from now, the customer can look back at their inspection, see exactly what was found, and call to ask if it's the same one or something new.

Belt. Tensioner. Alternator. AC compressor. Water pump. Everything sits below an oil leak just waiting to get soaked.

Adrian has seen alternators completely drenched in oil, and once coolant or oil gets inside those components, you don't know when they'll fail. You just know they will. Catching the leak early is the only way to keep it from becoming a much longer list of repairs.
