This one kicked my butt. Thankful the owners were patient enough with me on it.
After a front driveshaft exploded on this bad boy caused ALOT of damage. Some that could not be seen and most that could.
We repaid an entire harness that was severed. Replaced broken brackets, all new shift cables. New sensors that got broken.
Transmission cooler lines that got pinched shut, trans pan resealed (twice)
We ended up having to dig into the trans a bit. There’s 2 VSS sensors on this trans and both got sucked into the transmission when they broke. Damaged the neutral safety switch which internal inter the valve body, also bent the shift rod.
Had a lot of copper inside front the other vss sensor.
It was a lot to get it just to recognize park and neutral again so that we could actually get the jeep running again. I wish I could write down everything we had to go through to get to this point.
Anyway. She is done with what it came for and runs and drives again.
