Imported Auto Center Inc. Imported Auto Center, Inc. is a full service automotive repair shop located in downtown Glastonbury,

We are a Bosch Authorized Car Service Center, and a AAA Approved Auto Repair facility. We are also a Connecticut Authorized Emmissions Repair facility. Family owned and operated since 1981, Angelo DiBernardo has continued the world-class service and operations that his father, Luigi DiBernardo started.

Early Saturday morning, Imported Auto Center and the DiBernardo family lost our dear father and patriarch, Luigi, after a long illness. We are heartbroken and devastated by this profound loss, as he was a true pioneer and trailblazer for the independently run foreign car repair service industry. Luigi built this business from the ground up, and demanded excellence in every aspect of the business. He was a staple in the Glastonbury community and beyond its borders. His knowledge and skill level in repairing some of the world's most intricate automobiles was unprecedented. His reputation as a master of his craft quickly became well known in town and beyond after opening the business in 1981. Today, and every day, we continue to strive to meet and exceed his expectations in customer service and automotive repairs and diagnostics, and follow his principles, ethics, and vision on a daily basis. For those of you who knew him and have reached out, thank you for all the kind words and support you have shown our family over these last couple of days. It truly means more than you know, and we are forever grateful to all of you, his clients, past, present and future.

And now, we rest....Imported Auto Center will be closed for vacation from Monday, August 3rd to Friday, August 7th. We will re-open for business on Monday, August 10th at 8:00am. Thank you to all of our customers and we look forward to being of service to you! See you all in a week!

Due to this (very) annoying winter storm, we will unfortunately have to close today for the safety of our employees and clients. We are working behind the scenes today to clean up as much as possible, while acknowledging that we may have to clean up again tomorrow. We plan on re-opening at 8:00 am tomorrow morning. If you were scheduled for any service, please give us a call tomorrow and we will gladly re-schedule your service. Please stay safe out there and only travel if absolutely necessary.

Imported Auto Center would like to wish our friends at Hallmark Tire Company, especially the Harrington family, nothing but the best in their retirement. We were informed yesterday by Bob, personally, that they were closing their business down after years of being a staple in town for car repair. Our families worked together for so many years in town, helping each other out with technical and tool support. Did you know that Hallmark performed many of our alignments over the years before our expansion? Being a service center in town, we knew that if a car came in that was previously serviced at Hallmark Tire, we knew it was in good hands and that it was serviced properly. That is hard to find these days. We are sad that their business is shutting down, but ecstatic for Bob and his family to have this great opportunity to enjoy his retirement. It is well deserved. Glastonbury has been lucky to have them over the years!

Imported Auto Center would like to wish all of our friends and families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We will be closed on Christmas Day and the following day Friday. From our family to each and every one of yours, have a Happy Thanksgiving holiday. Please drive safely and responsibly. We would like to thank all of our clients and staff a wonderful holiday. We are thankful for each and every one of you, and for the opportunity to allow us to be of service to you. We look forward to seeing everyone next week when we re-open on Monday. In the meantime, we will be enjoying a 4-day weekend with our families and friends.
