Well it’s moving day here at Shifting Gears! That’s right, if you haven’t heard, Shelly and I have sold the business and are shifting gears once again. Not sure of what all we’ll write into the next chapters but on we go! Ed and I have had a great run here and all of you have been a part of that for which we thank you profusely! The facility will be reverting back to complete current model auto repair owned and operated by an experienced professional who we could not be more pleased with! You may want to look him up! Thanks for your business and best wishes to all, Earl.

Congratulations Corey!

Congratulations Corey!

Lieutenant Corey Davis has been with the Glastonbury Police Department since July 31, 2001 and has served proudly for nearly 21 years. Lieutenant Davis was promoted to Lieutenant in September, 2018.

In his role as the Investigations Commander, Lieutenant Davis is responsible for high profile investigations that are serious in nature, or demonstrate some type of crime trending. He is further responsible for the Youth Unit, Court and Evidence Processing, personnel assigned to local and federal narcotics task forces, personnel assigned to the Computer Digital Forensics Unit and also has several social media responsibilities.

Lieutenant Davis also has overseen several high-profile case investigations which led to the arrest and conviction of several dangerous individuals, in and outside of Glastonbury. Lieutenant Davis will often assist other members of the Glastonbury Police Department with their cases, some of which have also resulted in numerous arrests and seizures of illegal property.

Lieutenant Davis was named the Glastonbury Police Officer of the year in 2008 and has received several departmental awards and citations. He has also received numerous letters from the public voicing their appreciation for his efforts while serving the Town of Glastonbury.

As a member of the Glastonbury Police Department Command Staff, Lieutenant Davis has stepped up consistently to take on additional responsibilities which are not normally in his scope. Since his employment began here with the Town of Glastonbury, Lieutenant Davis has served in the Patrol and Investigations Division. He also was assigned the East Central Narcotics Task Force, where he wrote and executed several search and arrest warrants.

However, during his twenty plus year career, Lieutenant Davis took the most pride and put the most effort into his involvement in the Connecticut Center for Digital Investigations. This multi town, multi-jurisdictional unit has proven to be a fruitful venture in the Capitol Region. Lieutenant Davis played an integral role in the creation of this unit, the procurement of equipment, training of personnel and also securing its current location. This unit has been relied upon by many police agencies, local and federal in the retrieving and securing of evidence in its most critical form. The unit has assisted Law Enforcement in solving cases that not too long ago, would has remained in an unsolved, cold status.

Lieutenant Davis will officially retire from the Glastonbury Police Department on Friday, May 20, 2022. We wish him well with his new chapter as he takes on an important role in the investigations field in the private sector. Lieutenant Davis is married to his wife Jessica, and has three children. We wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.

Back from Carlisle, hauled my ‘36 Oldsmobile there to sell but no buyer! Please share this with any potential interested parties! This is a running, driving survivor. I have owned it for 20 years and bought it from an old client who owned it from the ‘70’s and refurbished it to the condition which I have preserved it in. I was asking $16,000 and will accept a reasonable offer to a good home. Delivery possible. Earl 860.416.7944

Car year, Make and model

A photo of yourself.

I do not work of the casting company or movie.

I am just a classic car guy and a background actor.

I do not know how much you will be paid, so you will need to ask.

It will be a long day, but I have loved it.

So far, I have been in 3 scenes for this movie "The Holdovers", and I have another scene scheduled soon.

Unfortunately, due to work conflicts I will not be part of the scene on March 15th.

Most of this movie is shot in the time frame of December 1970.

They may have you come in for a costume fitting.

You will need to go to Acton Mass for a covid test a few days before the scene [You do get paid for the covid test!]

Enjoy, I am sorry I won't be there.

Break a Leg,

Miles
