Man, I gotta tell ya, In all my years of KR, nobody has impressed me. Mostly because all they do is copy somebody else's stuff.. but, THIS GUY.. These days... it is NOT common to have to cut out and "make" parts fit. I guess it is, IF who you go with. A long time ago I made my parts to convert your car to KITT or..should you decide.. go back to a Trans Am without ever knowing it was a KITT. He got his parts from another vendor I guess. The thing is.. as the future may hold.. we don't know what car will be more valuable, a KITT.. maybe. Or a Trans Am? Ask Hagerty. All I know right now.. he lit a fire under my A**. LOL Good for you Levi! You did good!!

So, here's a fun fact that prob NOBODY knows... I was the first person ever, to make a car converse with it's owner. (and of course, the car was a 1982 Trans Am) True story, believe it or not. In 1987 I bought my high school's then computer. I worked nearly 3 years programming it to listen to and reply. The program has a built in phone directory, "passive laser restrain" graphics and could even play Black Jack by voice command.... in fact, it's the very same Black Jack program seen in Knight Rider....tho I'm sure some Hollywood vfx was involved so they didn't have the same screwups I had!

So how did I do this in my early 20's? (Yeah, I was actually 21 at the time. Wow)

The computer was and Atari 800XL with a Covox Voicemaster unit which plugged into the joystick port.

Happy so say... to this day...
1. I still have the same 1982 Trans Am. (bought at 18)
2. Still have the Atari, and the program still works! And the program is stored on a 5-1/4 FLOPPY! (like in KITT's 4'th season center console)

I have all this video on VHS that I really want to convert to CD and upload to YouTube. I'll let you know when I do.

Anyway, just something I never really put out there before. Don't really know why. But, man going thru these old VHS tapes really takes me back! The 80's really did rock! And, most of my fun was in the 90's too!

Anyway, just thought you guys might find it interesting.

So, little update, doing better, lot of pain still but, they say that's a good sign. Got most movement back in my thumb, but got a ways to go in my index finger. (can't wait till my middle is good again) :)

Well, lots of healing left to go. I'm not losing my digits.. I don't think. But, don't know if I can use them again either. Time will tell I guess.

Crazy, Crazy year. Had issues with my heat pumps this summer. When the shop's went out it's was all bet's off. My House went out first.. but was still able to work. Got a tech to come and braze in new compressors but, failed to tell me of a certain adaptor he put on my high side. Long story short... got blasted with 220+psi of R-22. (yeah, old units) on both hands. Might lose my right forefinger and thumb. Don't know yet. Been over a week or so now.. I still can't move them. That one blister is the size of a GRAPE! Changing the bandages now.

Made this a while back. First is a replica watch, second is made from a real radio watch. Yeah the first pic came out with a purple face, but it's really grey, don't know why. (cause it's lit?) And, I couldn't clean up the dust. Actually very black and white in person. (I'll never get the hang of posting pics) lol (edit, got it backwards.) Think I'll give this away to someone who I know really deserves it.

So.. I guess I'm getting older now. I've had my first (I feel like a Virgin again!) Major medical situation. I really don't want to get into it but, I'm doing better now and on the road to being better. For you guys waiting on me, I am REALLY sorry. I hope you can understand. I'm going to be fine now. But, with that said... I want to finish what I got to do... then.. I think, I just might be done with this. I hate the haters, I hate the bu****it that comes from so called "competitors". I've been here for OVER 27 years for ALL builders as a REAL business for the KR builders now. I will say this ONE more time...EVERYONE ELSE building Knight Rider parts are doing it PART TIME! AS A HOBBY! There is no warranty, no promises, no guarantee the car you buy will last beyond the time you take the title., I have always been a legit business. I have absolutely nothing to prove to anyone. UNTIL I DIE... I will ALWAYS be here for my customers. (not that you'll need it. nothing breaks down) But, I just don't want to keep putting up with bu****it. I got better things to do... like, have a life! I will leave you folks with this...

It is ALL about taking down the guy on top! When I first came to this business, I was inspired by Mark at Mark's Custom Kits. I remembering meeting him for the first time. I said Hello, I'm Don. I build KITT cars. He said, Yeah, so what? I've met you guys before. I've seen them come and I've seen them go". I said, "Well, I might be a little different." I NEVER went against him with malice, or being competitive ... I simply did what I did and let the buyer choose.
I'll leave it at that. What I have ALWAYS said about Mark is that among ALL the KR builders wanting to know who to buy from...Mark is HONEST. He will not rob you. He is trustworthy. He's the ONLY guy in the business I trust. I've met so many you guys will NEVER know....but....more is to come, I can promise that! Here now, but, you'll find out.

I remember seeing Mark's ad in a Custom Kit magazine. Man, I thought.. THAT'S what I want my car to look like! I went and redesigned everything!

I remember when I first posted a pic of my scanner and some du***ss said, (that's OBVIOUSLY taken from a screen shot). No. It was mine.

I just wanted to share a few memories of my time with this business. Good times. There were lots of "bad" times...but I choose not to go there.
