Some days tuning cars is rewarding. After a random ecm failure ruined our attempt at roll racing at Omaha's Ice Cream Cruise we’re back up and running. Adjusted and verified the tuneup so Eric Beck can kill his tires at will again. Looking forward to the roll race next year.

Turns out the Brian Tooley Racing canted valve heads are pretty damn good. This is a comparison between Frankenstein completely optimized and the btr heads completely optimized. Both on pump e85. We adjusted fuel and timing with both combinations until no more power was made. I found it interesting that the btr heads tolerated 3 degrees more timing advance with a smaller combustion chamber. While the Frankenstein heads are still good it seemed we hit a wall with the timing really trying to push on it. Looking forward to using these more in the future! Edit: sorry I didn’t specify the btr heads made more power. Same boost and similar iats. The test was done 3 months apart.

Got this GMC back up and running after a lifter and valve spring failure. After a quick engine refresh and cam courtesy of Brian Tooley Racing it’s back on the road.
