Track Support ¿Que implica?

“Track Support” es prácticamente cuando una persona tiene un rol en un proyecto (auto) y el mismo está monitoreando o ajustando alguna parte del vehículo cuando lo están probando en una pista.

Aunque se puede aplicar en diferentes ámbitos, en el nuestro pueden caer varias personas:
- Tuner
- Mecánico
- Fabricador
- Chassista
- Pitman (No los que te cuadran el carro virado o están solo para la foto)
- Coach de chofer/piloto entre otros.

En lo que es nuestro rol, además de estar pendiente de otros detalles importantes a la hora de correr el vehículo, nuestro papel mayor va hacia lo que concierne la calibración de la computadora del auto y la data que nos brinda la misma. De esta manera podemos ver si todo anda trabajando como debe, se aplican cambios de ser necesarios, se diagnostica y se brinda alguna sugerencia para mejoras. Las mismas pueden aplicar a mejoras mecánicas, eléctricas o estrategia del chofer. Tales servicios de “Track Support” tienen un costo y se deben coordinar con tiempo (sea presencial o remoto).

Es parte de nuestras labores, pero igual conlleva de nuestro tiempo y gastos. En mi caso particular, frecuento la pista, pero no significa que estamos en todos los eventos, testings o días que abren para pases de pruebas. De necesitar el servicio de “Track Support”, por favor solicitar con anticipación para buscar coordinar dentro de nuestra agenda de trabajo y personal.

GENRAL RULES
All race cars must have a license plate, proof of current registration and valid insurance.
Plates must match car. Temp plates PROHIBITED.
Paper tags for new vehicles accepted with proper documents.

All cars must have a functioning alternator, radiator and water pump.
Functioning Taillights and headlights (min 1).
Race car must be driven under its own power at all times unless broken.

Must make atleast 1 qualifying run.

No wheelie bars.

Beam tripper allowed, cannot extend more than 45 inches forward from centerline of front wheel.

All protest need to be done by end of qualifying.

Winner $5,000.
Runner up $1,000.
Based on minimum 16 car field.

Non qualifiers will race for $1,000 Winner takes all.
