Got to make one decent hit Friday night. First 2 passes were with a bad plug wire. Fixed it for this pass, but I'm having an issue with the trans brake disengaging slow, so it left in 3rd gear then downshifted to 1st after I got out. Not bad considering the slow leave and low boost though.

First time to the track with the truck was pretty promising. Got rained out after the 3rd pass, but we learned a lot today (thank you Randy Gore and friends for help with the tire issue!)

First pass we just wanted to get down the track. So I left the line at 1psi of boost, then slowly ramped it up to 11psi by 60mph, and then ramped it up to 15psi by the 1/8 mile. It went a 7.96 @ 97 on a 2.01 60ft.

Second pass I left a little harder at 3psi, then slowly ramped it up to 11psi by 60mph again, and then ramped it up to 16psi by the 1/8. It went 7.58 @ 97.5 on a 1.81 60ft. (This is the in-car Dragy video below. It read a little slower than the track though.)

Third pass I left at 5psi, then ramped boost up to 12psi by 60mph, then ramped the boost in quicker up to 16psi by the 1/8. We also adjusted tire pressure on that pass, and it went a 7.25 @ 101 on a 1.69 60ft. (This run is the video from outside the truck, where it looks like a turd.)

I'm super happy with it and I think it has a lot of potential. Just need to dial in the suspension and start running some boost!!

Anyway, we'll try again next Saturday.

Big thanks to my amazing friends that have all helped make this possible. I couldn't do any of this without them. Dana Walters, Brandon Campbell, Ann-Jonathan Boss, Patrick Bowman, Brad Lay, Jason Dowell, and Tim Lewis......you're all the best!!

After battling 6 months of converter and transmission issues, we finally made it to the track! Just going to make a few low boost hits and work on the tune. If all goes well, we'll turn it up before the night is over. 🤞

Thanks to Travis Jakeway for taking and sending me this video! It's the only one I have from this year's Buick GS Nationals.

Not my fastest pass, and the guy running the lights tried to burn me down, but not bad for the stock 65k mile engine. It's also set up for handling, not drag racing. Which I realize is strange for me, lol. Hoping for some 10.9's with a shock change and some new valvesprings (that's why such low mph).
Okay...that's all of my excuses for now.

Thank you to Jordan Polites for taking this pic of me at the 40th Anniversary of the Buick Nationals last week.

It was time to upgrade the 20 year old Flowmaster mufflers on my Buick. Thought it was going to be an easy job, but it took Dana Walters and me 7 hours yesterday. Partially because we're both OCD about symmetry. Changed to polished stainless Dynomax Ultra Flow's and and added 3.5" stainless tailpipes.
Anyway, sounds and looks much better now I think.

Opening day at Ohio Valley. Drove the Buick because it was so nice outside, but just went to spectate. Then decided I'd go ahead and make a run since it was only $4 more, lol.
This was on my daily 245-50-16 Nitto Drag radials and a soft, very conservative tune. Still the stock 60k mile engine with some bolt-on's and e85. Pretty sure there's a 10 second 1/4 mile in it with a harder launch and wick'd up a bit. 😳
Thank you to the guys at Boost Crew Motorsports....Brad Lay, Craig Kalbfleisch, and Jason Dowell. This is the perfect combo!!!
