Fuel Efficiency Tip: Make Every Gallon Count

A few small changes can help your boat run more efficiently all season long:

•Find your boat’s most efficient cruising speed
•Trim properly once you’re on plane
•Keep your hull and prop clean
•Avoid carrying unnecessary weight
•Stay on top of engine maintenance
•Plan your route before you leave the dock

There’s no one perfect cruising speed for every boat, so pay attention to your fuel flow and MPG if your gauges display it. Your boat’s “sweet spot” will depend on the hull, engine, load and conditions.

Less fuel burned = more time on the Sassafras.
