Second charter this week. First was a family staying at the Kitty Knight House celebrating a birthday. On the way back in we saw a beautiful pair of eagles flying in front of us. Today was a family reminiscing about the time they spent growing up on the river and spending time at their parents' cottage in Betterton. Thank you to Eleanor for the pictures.

I thank my friend Eleanor for this video. It was taken this morning from their boat at Skipjack Cove Marina on the Sassafras River. Make sure you watch the entire video to see the dolphin. In my 50 years boating on the Sassafras, I have never seen dolphin so far up the river. Guess I will be running dolphin watching cruises!

Today was Poor Dorothy's annual examination by the US Coast Guard. Because I carry 6 passengers or less, this is a voluntary program. However, it shows my clients that I am concerned about safety and that I am in compliance with all required regulations. The Coast Guard is cracking down on illegal charters in order to protect passenger safety. If you charter elsewhere, look for the examination sticker. If it is not there, ask the captain to see his credentials. Remember, I am concerned for your safety!
