We're neighbors serving neighbors. Established in 1992, BFS started out as a single truck operation with one full-time employee. Today, you’ll find we’ve grown a bit. With multiple trucks, and employees that have been with us for almost twenty years, we’re now Georgetown County’s largest private hauler. We have the capabilities and luxuries of large companies like a full-time office presence, on-s

taff mechanic, and dependability. However, you’ll find that the prices, personal service, and straight-forwardness of a local company are our hallmarks. Through it all, we’ve never lost sight of our commitment to quality. Truth is, we’re still a home-grown company, always working toward being the best. Being in Georgetown for nearly twenty years reminds us of a lot. It should remind you that we’ll be here for the next twenty, and the twenty after that.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from BFS!

Our trucks will be running their normal routes on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th. Please have your cart out the night before as collection times may vary.

Please also be aware that the Georgetown County landfill will be closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Because our trucks will need to empty first thing Monday morning, routes on Monday, July 6th will begin later than normal.

BFS IS HIRING CDL DRIVERS

We are looking for dependable CDL drivers to join our growing team.

This is a local driving position serving Georgetown County and the surrounding area. You will be home every night with no over-the-road travel.

We are looking for applicants who:

- Hold a valid Class Class B CDL
- Have a good driving record
- Are dependable and ready to work
- Safely operate commercial vehicles and work as part of a team

Experience driving garbage trucks, rear-loaders, or automated side-loaders is helpful, but we are willing to talk with qualified CDL drivers from other industries.

Summer Collection Reminder

Summer is here, and that means trash volume is up across our service area — especially in our coastal and rental-heavy communities.

Just a friendly reminder: each neighborhood has a scheduled day of service, but there is not a set time of day for collection.

Our trucks may arrive earlier some weeks and later other weeks depending on route volume, traffic, staffing, landfill timing, weather, and the general summer workload.

If your trash has not been picked up yet, please know we are still running routes and will complete collection on your scheduled service day.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during the busy summer season. Thanks for allowing us to serve your community.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Weekend Service Update

As flags fly across our neighborhoods this weekend, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

We’re grateful for the freedom to live, work, and serve this community we call home.

All BFS routes will run on their normal schedule - however our office will be closed. Please have your carts out as usual.

One of the easiest ways to help keep your cart cleaner and smelling better is to bag your trash before placing it in the cart.
