We’re excited to try something new this Thursday.

On Thursday, September 3 from 1:00–2:00 PM, we’ll be going live on our GW Secure Parking YouTube channel with a live drone traffic update around The Gorge Amphitheatre.

Our goal is simple: give everyone heading to The Gorge a real-time look at how traffic is moving, where congestion is beginning to build, and what conditions look like around the main arrival routes before you get here.

We’re local to George, so we’ll be able to show you what’s actually happening on the ground and from the air as people begin arriving for the weekend.

This will be our first live traffic broadcast, and we’re looking forward to seeing how useful we can make it for everyone traveling to The Gorge.

As always, if you have questions while planning your trip, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to help.

Dave Matthews at The Gorge Amphitheatre

Friday, September 4th - Sunday, September 6th

Parking opens: 1:00 PM
Doors open: 3:30 PM
Music starts: 5:00 PM

The Gorge Campground opens Thursday, September 3 at 12:00 PM. The campground will remain open 24 hours until the event ends.

One thing most people don't know: You CAN bring food inside the venue. It DOESN'T have to be sealed but it does have to be inside of a sealed gallon ziplock bag

One question we've received quite a bit:

BICYCLES: YES. Final word was that bicycles are allowed in the campground.

A couple of other camping notes: ticks have been sighted locally, including a recent sighting in the campground, so checking yourself each day is a good idea.

TRAFFIC & THE VANTAGE BRIDGE

Good news for DMB weekend: WSDOT will have all lanes of the I-90 Vantage Bridge open September 4–8.

That does NOT mean there won't be traffic.

DMB weekend is one of the busiest weekends of the year in George. If you can arrive early, do it. Getting here around the time camping or parking opens is much better than trying to arrive shortly before the show.

FIRST LIVE TRAFFIC DRONE BROADCAST

We’re also trying something new this weekend.

On Thursday, September 3 at 1:00 PM, we will be doing our first LIVE traffic update using our drone here in George and broadcasting it to our YouTube channel.

Our goal is to give everyone traveling to The Gorge a real look at traffic conditions around George, Silica Road and the surrounding area before the weekend gets underway.

If it works well, this is something we'd like to continue doing for future Gorge events.

A FEW THINGS WE REALLY RECOMMEND

Arrive early. Once traffic backs up around George and Silica Road, there aren't many good ways around it.

If you still need parking or transportation, make those arrangements now rather than waiting until the day of the show.

Hydrate before you arrive and continue drinking water throughout the day.

Outside lawn chairs are NOT permitted inside the venue. If you want a chair on the lawn, plan on renting one.

Driving to The Gorge from the east?

We put together a new visual drive-through guide showing the approach to The Gorge Amphitheatre and Campground from I-90 West.

If you’re flying into Spokane, staying in Moses Lake, or traveling westbound on I-90, this video gives you a look at the route before you make the drive yourself.

You’ll see:

• Exit 151 from I-90 West
• The Baseline Road intersection
• The drive toward The Gorge
• The approach along Road 1 NW

Our goal with these guides is simple: help you know what to expect before you arrive and make your trip to The Gorge a little easier to navigate.

Traveling through the Vantage Bridge area in spring 2026 will require a little extra planning.

With traffic reduced to one lane in each direction and a 9-foot width restriction, delays are expected during peak travel times. WSDOT offers live traffic cameras that can be very helpful for checking conditions before you leave.

You can view those cameras here: https://wsdot.com/travel/real-time/cameras/road/090/Vantage%20Bridge/George

For construction updates and official project information, visit: https://wsdot.wa.gov/construction-planning/search-projects/i-90-vantage-bridge-replace-bridge-deck-and-special-repairs

Even with planning, conditions have been known to change last minute in the past. Before traveling, we recommend checking the WSDOT website directly for the most current and accurate information.
