Forged Outfront Motorsports shortblock, GSC valve springs, valves cut and lapped, lash set to high end of OEM spec for better longevity at high loads and hot temps. Custom 1 of 1 built stock turbo by Pavel's Racing Engines with oversized Garret G25 geometry compressor wheel and custom turbine wheel and shaft with better geometry for lower back pressure and hence better power at high rpm. Should make ~400 whp (limit of his direct injection system) for much longer than the stock engine did. Forgot to take a picture of the rod out the top of his stock engine. #1 created its own little inspection window.

New clutch, rear main crankshaft seal, and water pump for this 2014 BMW 535i! Clutch was slipping from oil contamination.
Also did a full inspection and oil change to make sure it's ready for a very long road trip. Like, to California and back long.

Winter is coming! Have you been putting off maintenance on your Subaru? Do you remember the last time your timing belt was changed? Don't ignore that woosh or scrape, let's get it taken care of before it gets more expensive. Don't get stranded in the snow! I should post some more projects here.

DNJ (eBay) timing belt, snapped and tore this poor engine up. We only use Gates (j*p tensioner) and Aisin timing belt kits here. Low compression on at least 2 cyls. Feels like 2 seal, intake side looks ok, possibly only exhaust valves hit. I'll post some pics of the cylinder head carnage (hopefully slight) and rebuild process soon.

Do you need a timing belt service (every 100k, 7 years, or just because you don't know when it's been done last)? Engine rebuild? Turbo upgrade and protune (COBB or open source)? We can do it all.

Busy week, Jdm EJ206 swap in a blobeye wagon, and some upgrades while it's apart. Ewg, ID1050x injectors, built vf39 by PRE (basically a new garret g25-660 crammed into a vf housing, capable of more than 400 whp), fresh timing kit and all new intake / exhaust gaskets.

Probably going to leave it at 18psi, ~340 whp mark seems somewhat reliable on stock 206's.

Also pulled the engine from a 2008 STI yesterday, getting an outfront stage 4 block, closed deck, 1/2 inch head studs, gsc and supertech valvetrain. Heads are at PRE being built, I'll have pics of that when we go to assemble it 😁

This 2013 WRX (widebody sedan) is getting a built shortblock by PRE Tuning following a rod bearing failure. Fully blueprinted, forged rods and pistons, nitrated crank, ARP 2000 head studs, full oem gasket kit, KillerB oil pickup + windage tray and a new OEM sti oil pan.

This forester XT went a little too long on his timing belt change! Luckily there were no damaged valves, we were expecting the worst when we took it apart. Luckily the engine was due for head gaskets as well, so we were able to fully inspect the heads. I believe the auto trans must have saved it, if this happened on the highway with a manual car, it definitely would have bent valves.
The lower roller by the water pump sized up and melted the bolt that holds it on. Very interesting failure. Normally the ball bearings just fall out of them and the belt looses tension.
The vehicle had 120k miles on it, so I'm assuming this is the original timing set from 2004!

Fully forged motor built by Pavel's Racing Engines installed in this 2015 WRX, and tuned on 93 by Matt Cater of 555 Motorsports. I did the break in procedure and drove it to the dyno, changed the oil there and it ended up on the rollers with 120 miles on the motor! A well built motor doesn't need 1000's of break in miles. The customer was very excited to get his car back. A spun rod bearing sparked the rebuild process and he decided to go all out on the internals so it could hold up to more power down the line. e85 will really wake this thing up!
