This past year has changed me in ways I’m still processing. Walking with my dad through hospital visits, appointments, and being by his side during hospice put a lot into perspective.

In the middle of all of that, so many of you showed up for our family (& Shop Family).

The texts. The food. The gift cards. The prayers. The patience. The grace when things weren’t perfect. The simple “we’re thinking about you.” It meant more than you know.

Four years ago, I stepped into leading Walton’s Family Auto Service. My grandfather started this place. My dad carried it forward. Those are big shoes to fill. Since taking over, we’ve grown nearly threefold — and growth brings change. New systems. Adjustments. Learning curves. Through it all, you stayed with us, you supported us, and offered a helping hand along the way. That support isn’t something I take lightly. Y’all are amazing and we feel truly blessed to be apart of this community.

We couldn’t have done it without our team, and I am so grateful for James, Jonathan, Brian, and Kyle. While I needed to be with my dad, they stepped up without hesitation. They carried the shop and took care of our customers like family. I am incredibly grateful for them and could not ask for a better team.

This place is more than a business to us. It’s legacy. It’s relationships. It’s decades of hard work. And the love and support you’ve shown us through this season will never be forgotten.

Out of love and respect for our longtime team member Jonathan Wall and his family, Walton’s Family Auto Service will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, January 29, so our crew can attend his father’s funeral and support him during this difficult time.

We truly appreciate your understanding and patience. Jonathan has been part of our shop family since 1996, and standing beside him now is important to all of us.

Walton Family Auto Service will be closed today, Tuesday the 20th, as our family and team attend the funeral of my dad, Kevin Walton.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Kevin Walton, a cornerstone of Walton Family Auto Service and the second generation of Walton men to build this business.

This shop is more than a building — it is a legacy built by three generations of Walton men, starting with my grandfather, continued by my dad, and now carried forward by me. For decades, my dad poured his heart, work ethic, and integrity into this place. He believed deeply in honest work, taking care of people, and treating customers like family. Those values shaped this business and shaped me.

I was blessed to work side by side with my dad for more than 20 years. Everything I know about this trade, leadership, and serving our community started with him. I wouldn’t be the man or business owner I am today without his guidance and example.

As our family honors his life, Walton Family Auto Service will be closed all day Tuesday so that our family and team can attend his funeral together.
