Tonight, Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Tim O’Connor was tragically killed in the line of duty. We extend our deepest condolences to Corporal O’Connor’s family, friends, loved ones, and his colleagues at the Pennsylvania State Police. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this profound loss.

As stated during this evening’s press conference, the Pennsylvania State Police and the Chester County Detectives are conducting a joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.

It is with deep sadness that we share the line-of-duty death of retired Trooper Mark A. Ondus, who passed on October 9, 2025, from an illness related to his assignment in and around the World Trade Center site following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Trooper Ondus served 26 years with the New York State Police, most recently in Troop T. We honor his service, sacrifice, and memory.

Trooper Ondus is survived by his wife Tammy, his sons, Charles, Sebastian, Nikolas and his daughter Tauni.
