Road Update – Flash Flooding

We are aware of several areas throughout the county that have been impacted by recent flash flooding. Roads currently affected include but not limited to:

335th Avenue northwest of Fort Thompson
230th Street northwest of Gann Valley
362nd Avenue northeast of Gann Valley
At this time, these roads appear to remain passable; however, we strongly recommend reducing your speed and using extra caution when traveling through these areas.

Our crews will continue assessing damage and will begin repair work on Monday. If you are aware of additional road damage or areas of concern, please leave a comment below or contact the Highway Department office so we can investigate.

I’m headed North of Miller today starting around 11am with warmers full of lunch items. If anyone would like a hot lunch, some ice or needs anything dropped off from town, let me know. Ree Heights (and north) area could be covered too by another driver if anyone needs anything that way too.
Please reach out if you need help. I’m hearing from so many people, give it to someone who needs it more. I love that but my goal is to help everyone. If it makes your day go faster not having to stop and make lunch for your crew or even stop to warm up leftovers or make sandwiches please let us help. So many people have been so generous to help everyone affected, not just those with total loss. If you know of a neighbor or friend who could use a hot lunch or some supplies, please reach out.
