BIG NEWS: CUMBERLAND MARINE WORKS + DOCK WORX
We’re excited to announce a new chapter for Cumberland Marine Works and Dock Worx as our two companies come together to create one stronger team serving Tennessee and the surrounding region.
This is much more than one company acquiring another. It’s the combination of two established businesses—their ownership, leadership, employees, experience, equipment and resources—with a shared vision for what we can build together.
As part of this combination, the owners of Dock Worx will become owners in the newly combined company and will remain actively involved in its leadership and day-to-day operations. Together with the ownership and management of Cumberland Marine Works, they will help lead the company forward, bringing together the strengths, experience and relationships that have made both businesses successful.
And we’re just getting started.
This combination gives us the opportunity to significantly expand our in-house manufacturing and fabrication capabilities, grow our network of dealers and resellers, and continue investing in the commercial side of our business. By bringing more of the manufacturing process in-house and combining the resources of both companies, our goal is to increase capacity, improve efficiency and shorten turnaround times without compromising quality.
We also see tremendous opportunity to expand and support our commercial service lines—providing marinas, developers, communities and other commercial waterfront customers with the resources, experience and ongoing support they need for projects of all sizes.
At the center of all of this will remain the same priorities that built both companies: exceptional customer service, quick turnaround times and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
Whether we’re building a single-slip residential dock, supplying products through our reseller network or taking on a large commercial waterfront project, our focus is the same: deliver the highest-quality docks and marine products we can build and provide an experience our customers and partners can depend on.
For our existing customers, the familiar faces and trusted relationships aren’t going anywhere. We’re simply putting more people, more equipment, more manufacturing capability and more resources behind them.
This next chapter isn’t about replacing one company with another. It’s about bringing two successful companies together—with the owners of both invested in the future and working side by side to build something bigger.
