In spring, deer are on the move, foraging for fresh growth and raising fawns, making them more active and unpredictable. Drivers should stay alert, especially at dawn and dusk when deer are most likely to crossroads. Watch for reflective eyes in headlights, slow down in wooded or rural areas, and use high beams when safe to spot them early. If a deer darts out, brake firmly but don’t swerve—Animal impact is less dangerous than veering off-road. Also hitting a deer will go on your insurance as comp and going off road will be a collision claim. Collision claims can be a higher deductible and possibly negatively affect your rates in the future. If you cant avoid it and have an accident we are happy to help get you repaired and back on the road ASAP. Be careful out there and travel safe.
