Unfortunately, last week we programmed an OEM refurbished key for a 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross, but the remote buttons weren’t functioning. The customer was able to use the key temporarily while we waited for a brand-new OEM replacement to arrive. A few days later, we came back out, programmed the new key, and now everything is working as it should. She’s all set and back on the road!

Euro mornings at The Key Experts! 🇩🇪🔑

Kicking things off with a 2008 BMW 328i in an all-keys-lost situation. This BMW had been sitting for nearly two months, and after the customer finally got their proof of ownership squared away, we were able to get to work.

For this particular BMW, we went with bench programming to safely create and program a new key without risking damage to the vehicle’s modules.

If there’s one piece of advice I could give anyone who drives a vehicle, it’s this: GET THAT SECOND KEY!

There’s absolutely no reason to put yourself in an all-keys-lost situation when it can easily be avoided.

Losing your only key can leave you stranded, cost you significantly more money, and turn a simple inconvenience into a major headache.

A spare key is always cheaper than replacing all your lost keys. Don’t wait until it’s too late!

Today, we’re working on a 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz in Lake City, Florida, for an all-keys-lost situation. The customer had lost her keys, and with a hurricane heading our way, the timing couldn’t have been worse! Thankfully, the storm changed direction, and we were able to come out, cut and program a brand-new key, and get her vehicle back up and running.

Today we helped a customer with a 202 6 Ford Expedition. She got locked out of her vehicle while at church, and since she only had one key to begin with, we cut and programmed a spare on the spot. Now she’s back on the road and has a backup to avoid future lockouts.

Today we were at a Verizon store in Lake City, Florida, repairing a failed SFIC. Even with both the operating key and the control key, the core wouldn’t turn or come out. We drilled it, installed a new core, keyed it into their existing master system and got everything back up and running.
