We lost one of our own Sunday, Ray Turner.

Simply a salt of the earth kind of guy, Ray worked at both Brewerton Speedway and Fulton Speedway for decades. But we think it is doubtful Ray used the term 'work' when he'd come to the track. He greatly enjoyed racing and being around our community. He was the guy that was always there early and would do anything that was asked of him. He was that person you could count on, always. He was a friend to all, but if you tried to go up to the tower without a stamp, or enter the pits without a wristband, you better think twice.

We will take this weekend off for a rest, but when we return on July 25 it will be hard to not see Ray at his post. We are heartbroken by his loss and express our deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time.
