What a night and into the morning of racing. Not sure where to begin, but first, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the dads, step-in dads & bonus dads! 💙
As the week leading to the weekend was all about "is it going to rain? Should we cancel? Why can't ALL weather apps get on the same page?" But still driving to the track to put water down.
Track was on point & ready Friday evening...then the rain came late Friday night. Roy & Travis decided to let their baby sit and soak up the water. Up early Saturday morning and Travis did a light skim and it was beautiful! Racers came in and filled our property! Practice started on time and we were rolling through it....then the rain! Heavy rain⛈️ BUT....we didn't quit!! Pouring down rain and our crew and some of our racing family jumped into action and started shoveling, pumping water off the grid area and was lending us tools and leaf blowers to help. They wanted to race! So after that delay, sun started shining and we had a truck & golf cart roll in! Got the track back and continued moving along. Then, another rain delay, but not near as long! The JuiceBox race was in our pit area....the kids loved it🏎🧃 Seeing their smiles and giggles!
Some track records were broke and some karts were broke--they call this sport racing--you win some, you lose some.
Then finally RACING! Started with the Marty Ruser King of the Outlaws Tribute Race and ended with the Box Stock Vega Pro race. Great racing overall! Thank you to everyone who offered their help to keep the show going! We love & appreciate all of you and see you in 2 months❤️✌🏼 Here’s a few candid pics of the day.
