Well we knew 4th of July might be a risk. We’ve seen large turnouts on the 4th weekend before, but on the actual 4th apparently doesn’t work, and that’s ok!

It was the only available date to re-schedule the SCS3.0 without going into late September/October, but was what we should have done.

Huge thanks to those that came out anyway! We decided with the small turnout it would make more sense to club race and postpone the Salt Creek Shootout 3.0 again. Date TBA.

We had a great time regardless and even ran double A-mains and had everyone home in time for fireworks!

Next one on the calendar for us will be Round 4 of the Horcrs August 21st-22nd!

Let’s try this again! 🤣

SALT CREEK SHOOTOUT 3.0 race week!!

We made the right call last week, which saw us get nearly 2” of rain through Saturday!

Now that the rain is passed, we can finally get to work on prepping the track for this weekend!

I’ll do an update video later in the week, but heres a sneak peek of the layout revisions (double added at the end of the straight on the right side. Single added in the back left to jump onto the corner hill. Revised “whoops”).

**RESCHEDULED** JULY 3RD-4th**
Due to impending weather this weekend, we're going to postpone/reschedule the Salt Creek Shootout 3.0 to next weekend, July 3rd-4th!

Forecast is calling for upwards of 2 inches of rain this Friday and has held steady all week. Parking would be the biggest concern as the ground is still trying to dry out from rain over the last week. Any amount of rain Friday and parking would be a mud pit.

Next weekends forecast looks much better! Those racing with us on the new date of July 4th are welcome to stay and camp Saturday evening as well as Friday!

Everyone has an extra week to get ready, then come spend the 4th with us!!

Less than a week away from the Salt Creek Shootout 3.0!

Weather outlook isn’t awesome right now, but it can and will likely change. We’ll continue to monitor and make any necessary calls by Thursday.

IF outlook doesn’t improve, we’ll re-schedule for the following weekend, July 3rd-4th. Again, worst case scenario.

Lastly, many of you may have seen we were narrowly missed by a Tornado this past week. Our neighbors were not so lucky. In particularly an elderly couple without the resources to properly recover. Their family has setup a go fund me to help them out at the link below.

It’s definitely sobering to see the damage as you’re pulling into the facility, we encourage anyone able to help get them back on their feet!
