“RetroVille" is a full service RV Park on the water front of Choctawhatchee Bay. and has the "Retro" theme at all pads and throughout the park. It is not only a place to camp but while vacationing but a place to relive and learn about the "Drive In Movie" "Americana" that was such short lived time in our past. We will feature 20/30/50 amp power , water and sewer and Wi-Fi at all sites along with easy access off hwy 331. Coming Soon in the winter of 2025 a Waterfront Dock to fish and paddle board from! With easy access just off Hwy 331 just south of Freeport, FL 3 miles . We are located 11 miles from the famous 30a Grayton Beach area and a short drive from other famous beaches such as Destin, Destin Harbor, Seaside Beach and the beautiful Rosemary Beach. With the Hurricane over and Halloween coming up quick we thought it would be fun to remember a few Monsters and Munsters and Dragulas from our past! “The Munsters” and “ Dark Shadows” were both fun times for us and timeless Tv shows. Butch “ Eddie Munster” still tours with his Munstermobile and Dragula today and Dark Shadows has tens of thousands that still follow their pages and are loyal fans! The shows creativity is unmatched even today.

From weathering the storm to getting fully recharged, we are officially back up and running with full utilities, power, and fast internet and first few Rvers are with us! Thank you to everyone in our community and friends for the support, check-ins, and good energy and help with cleanup. Our waterfront spots are clear, bright, and open for bookings and we even added a little white beach sand from the extra sandbags we had ! A little of the fence is down but everythings working! Come pull up your rig, plug in, and relax with classic retro style right here in Freeport!

Its not nice to fool Mother Nature! Well she certainly certainly gave us a run for our money! During Hurricane Isaias, our area experienced fierce 105 mph winds.
While only 20–30 feet of Retroville's fence is down on the east side only, we are beyond thankful that 90% of it survived! Both the park and our house in Santa Rosa Beach are currently without power, and we have several trees down across power lines.
From what we’ve heard, Grayton Beach State Park is currently closed due to significant tree damage and power outage we’re not sure about Henderson State Park .We will be out at the park Monday with our tractor cleaning up smsll debris and getting everything looking awesome again, We are hopeful power will be restored today as it is coming on all around us, and the weather is absolutely beautiful!

Whats a Hurricane without a trip to the sand pit? Hurricane prep is in full swing with Denese and I at Retroville! If your in an Rv and need to plug up we have available slots with power right now as approaches! 🌀 Sandbags are down, supplies are set, all retro items are secure and we’re holding our incoming guests up in NE Georgia safe and comfortable as we ride this storm out. If you need a place to park your Rv while the storm comes through we have slots available Take a look at the traffic north on Hwy 331 were glad were not in it! Stay safe, everyone! Star Wars on Wheels with the “ Tangelorian” docking at Retroville! We get some awesome folks that collect some great movie stuff staying at Retroville so when Doug and his wife comedian Traci Kanaan who had traveled all over the United States this year in their 38 ft Rv said they found us a while back and wanted to come stay with us and we were one of their last stops before they headed home to Tampa. September 30, 1955 was the day James Dean took his last ride and his silver Porsche on that Ca hill. This was the last known photo of him taken with his car headed that way. We had a chance to come down that same hill get gas at Marias and explore the area of Cholame Ca. Theres a shrine to JD at the bottom of the hill the “ Tree of Remembrance “ where the accident happened . If you never been to his hometown of Fairmount Indiana and the Dean Museum its definitely worth it. Theres a yearly celebration to him. We’ve been to the museum and his grave its incredible stuff from Hollywood history some items we actually have at Retroville in tribute to JD.

Where do bestselling Hollywood authors and screenwriters go to unplug and spark their next big idea? You guessed it Retroville! We were pumped to welcome bestselling author, action movie screenwriter, and former federal agent Chuck Hustmyre to our waterfront slice of Freeport, Florida for a few days.
Known for gritty crime novels and action films starring heavyweights like Guy Pearce , Steven Segall, Dave Bautista, and Danny Trejo , Chucks been called the Keith Richards of books and screenwriting and he appreciates authentic Americana—making our vintage drive-in theme, classic hollywood and retro setup right up his alley. Hes currently working on a movie that will possibly star Kiefer Sutherland called “ Hour of Reckoning” Were looking forward to that one with a little of it possibly written at Retroville!
