One of the many tasks I struggle with is checking the website. I logged in last last night to see a compliment left behind by a new customer. I always welcome any and all comments and/or critiques as both only help me to grow the business YOU want. We exist because of you! Thank you Brian for your support and we are glad to see that ChatGPT approves of our work 😊

One of my favorite truck/SUV platforms and what is known to be one of those most reliable is the GMT800. This includes the 99-2006 Chevy/GMC lineup. The pre-afm LS engines are absolutely bulletproof and will easily go 300-500k without any major work. I recently had a gem come into the shop for undercoating and an oil pressure sensor. While undercoating, I noticed that the front right axle was leaking grease. These trucks do not have locking hubs so that axle spins constantly. That would become a big issue quick so I notified the customer. Customer stated he recently had a significant amount of front end work done on the truck which included the front wheel bearings and all new steering components. When looking at the axle boot clamp, clear pry marks can be seen on the clamp which likely resulted in the clamp loosening and allowing the grease to escape. The pry marks appeared new and recent so I asked the customer to reach out to the other shop. Unfortunately, as I see in most situations like this, the other shop was happy to sell him thousands of dollars worth of work to replace things that likely didn’t need replaced…….but when it comes time to take responsibility to fix what they likely caused, they denied responsibility and refused to fix it…..🤦‍♂️
Mechanics are human. Humans make mistakes. The auto repair industry has a massive technician shortage resulting in a lot of inexperienced techs who make mistakes. Let me be clear, this is a problem that CUSTOMERS DO NOT NEED TO PAY FOR! This is a problem that the industry needs to recognize, absorb the cost of those mistakes and turn them into teachable moments for the technicians. Please hold shops, INCLUDING MY OWN, accountable. While I would like to think I don’t make mistakes, I do. Most I catch but some I do not. I’m man enough to admit that I’m human and will ALWAYS right my wrongs at no cost to you. Hopefully this trend will catch on and we will be better as a whole.

This is one huge reason I chose NHOU to represent in my shop. They started small, worked hard and achieved success by consistently delivering quality products with no compromises. Happy to sell their product exclusively here as rust treatment and prevention!

Who remembers this place?

This was our original shop. A garage next to our home, out in the country.

Back then, if someone told me one day we'd have multiple facilities, dealers around the world, and customers traveling hours to see us, I probably would have laughed and gone back to work.

The truth is, this company grew because people believed in us long before we had any reason to expect them to.

You trusted us.
You told your friends.
You came back.

Everything that followed started with that.

Dear Jeep Wrangler owners, let’s chat about rust. They ALLLLLLLLL rust. It’s only a matter of time.

I know you like…….wait……LOVE them, I know, but they don’t love you back unless you treat them well. Let us give them a spa day once a year and let them spend the day in a bath of oil. Trust me, they’ll thank you!

This is one well cared for Pilot! New customer slid in for a misfire. It’s obvious the owner loves this car so we had a conversation about her intentions with it. “I wanna keep it for as long as possible”

Say no more!

We looked at the service history and discovered that the timing belt had not been replaced. We also found some annoying rattles the owner has asked previous shops to resolve but has been unsuccessful. Swapped a new timing belt/water pump in, fixed the rattles (sway bar links and bushings) and, of course, threw some oil on the undercarriage.

Our goal is always 300k plus miles on every vehicle that hits our door!

Thank you Vicki for allowing us the honor of earning your business! Looking forward to seeing you again
