Another DIY key programmer gone wrong 😅

If your vehicle needs a new key, all keys lost service, or programming work… save yourself the headache and call a professional the first time. I had to fix this vehicle after one of these DIY programmers left the customer stranded. This definitely isn’t the first one I’ve had to clean up.

Modern vehicles aren’t as simple as plugging something in and pressing a button anymore. Sometimes these tools can lock modules up, erase keys, or leave the vehicle unable to start.

2011 Chevy 2500 spare key programmed successfully 🔑💪 While programming I found one of the coolest factory options I’ve ever seen… a built in PlayStation 2 with a screen 🤯🎮 Definitely not something you see every day in the Texas Hill Country.

Chevy / GM vehicle key worn out? 🔑
This is a SUPER common issue on GM ignitions—key gets worn down and won’t turn anymore.

Removed the ignition, cut a fresh key by code, and now it turns PERFECT 👌
This is why having a solid spare key saves you from a bigger headache later.
