We recently had a new customer call in for a second opinion. Their Hyundai Kona was at the dealership with $4,500 worth of recommended internal engine repairs.

The customer brought their vehicle in to us and approved us to actually remove the timing cover to look at the timing components. Upon inspection, we found the dowel pin for the camshaft sprocket pushed inside the actual camshaft itself (Hyundai had no clue about this!). The customers expense at the dealership would have increased. Here, there were no surprises and the repair bill was almost HALF of what Hyundai originally quoted without any disassembly.

We will always offer an honest job for an honest price here at Doug's. If anyone ever feels like they need a second opinion, or wants another shops recommendations re-quoted, we are happy to assist!
