A few cars that have come through recently for some routine service and detailing.

We do not normally open these up, but we have *limited* detailing appointments available for interior detailing, paint correction, and ceramic coating. If you have a special vehicle in need of some focused care and attention, now is the time!

Vallelunga²

It is rare enough to see one De Tomaso Vallelunga, much less two of them at the same time. Needing a way to continue to bankroll racing interests, this was De Tomaso's first road car with less than 60 built. Both of these cars received some very in-depth mechanical sorting to get them driving at their best.

Originally equipped with a Ford Kent engine from a Cortina with just over 100 HP, each of these are sporting twin-cam Lotus engines for a little more excitement.

These were an absolute blast to drive! While we are sure the owners are happy to have them back, we are a little sad we can't take in the fall leaves on a twisty back road in one of these!

Aston. Martin. Zagato. Words that instantly take you to a relationship that stretches over 60 years, starting with the iconic DB4 GT Zagato.

Featuring the classic Zagato 'double-bubble' roofline that extends into the rear glass - this car has the style to make it an instant top-tier design. Powered by a 6.0L V12 and with an equally impressive interior, this car has the everything you would want from this iconic combination of manufacturer and designer.

This car was with us for a service and a full-tilt detail. This included paint correction and ceramic coating to keep it looking as fresh as it did when it rolled out of the showroom.

The 456 GT - also fresh out of detail and a service - decided to tag along!

A little bit of everything happening recently!

Preparing to test some recreated Campagnolo calipers for a special Bizzarrini and some XK120 wire wheel balancing.

The Dino 246 GTS calipers and fuel tank had just been refinished with black paint. The calipers were stripped, plated, and rebuilt. The fuel tank also got very careful treatment to remove the aftermarket undercoating while preserving as much of the original coating as possible.

What do you do when components don't want to come apart after spending 50 years together? Hammer and pry bar combined with brute force? How about a more elegant approach . . .

When the cylinder head was seized on this 1974 Dino 246 GTS engine - the team worked to brainstorm a solution. One of our technicians modeled the spacing for the cam cover and head studs to develop a press plate. Designed to spread the load across the entire cylinder head, this plate would help prevent any deflection and potential damage as force was applied to the head studs.

After a template was 3D printed to verify the spacing and that the design worked for both cylinder heads - the CAD model was sent out to be cut into a piece of 1/2" steel.

Plate in hand, a few quick bolt turns, and the cylinder head was off!

Another podium at Pebble Beach!

At the 73rd Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Grand Touring was honored to have supported the 1972 Maserati Ghibli 4.9 SS Ghia Coupé awarded with 2nd place in the 2024 featured Maserati class.

Sporting the original leather and unique Azzurro Artico paint, this car really commanded attention. Our team spent hours making sure that every detail of this car was the best it could be!

Cheers to all the other exhibitors we shared the field with and thank you to for another fantastic event! 🥂
