We made some progress on the 1957 Chevy Bel Air front half-half conversion. The car is being fitted with a Heidts Super Ride ll Front crossover Kit and according to Heidts,this is the first 57 Bel Air to receive this custom installation. Our own custom bolt- in frame rails were fabricated to integrate with the suspension kit.The entire front end was mocked up ,aligned and welded into place .To further stiffen the chassis we designed and fabricated our own frame stiffeners to help with rigidity.These mods are especially important considering the 540 BBC Mountain motor we are building for the car
