We are going to be getting some colder weather where you might be experiencing frost on your vehicle, particularly the glass. Be smart and prepare before it happens like cover up your windshield and/or back glass. Or simply start your vehicle early to defrost it off avoid scraping with metal or rough edged objects or hot water, these can lead to damage.

Time to talk about windshield wipers! It’s very important to maintain good wipers to operate your vehicle in the rain or snow. Make sure you replace them every year if your car is kept in or under protection if not you may need to change them twice a year. It is simple to just wipe them off of debris that can settle between the glass and wipers. Dry weather and dust can do damage to both. Most auto parts store will replace them when you purchase from them. Have a great holiday weekend and see clearly!

Remember to check your wipers! They are essential and can help your visibility when in good condition. Also a number of objects can get trapped underneath and could result in scratching your windshield.

⚠️ Are you about to start your Spring Cleaning? Don’t forget about your vehicles. Start by checking your windshield wipers, make sure they are in good condition, if not replace them. Inspect for winter grime build up and damage. Check your sunroof for any dirt, clogged drainage lines will make you think you have a leak, it’s normal dirt to settle. Just a little reminder...inspect your wiper blades and change them if it's been awhile. It will save you some unnecessary scratching in your windshield due to built up residue and normal wear and tear. New blades will be helpful with upcoming weather we will be facing in the next few months. 🌧❄️🌬🌨☃️. P.S. Don't forget the back wiper also!

Ok we wanted our community and clients to know this important information when it comes to repairing and/or replacing your windshield or other glass in your vehicle. North Carolina state law allows you to choose ANY auto glass replacement facility, regardless of any recommendations from third party networks. This usually happens when a claim is called in, and your insurance company is signed up with a network because of the quantity of glass claims. These individuals are not familiar with our town or area. It makes no difference to them if a company comes from another state or over 50 miles away. We believe in our motto 'Locally owned and operated, keeping it in the community'. There are states, South Carolina most recently, who did away with third party billing and networking for the auto glass industry, we hope North Carolina will soon make that move. You can make your choice known by simply giving the name of the business you have selected to do the repair work, we hope that you will say: Western Carolina Auto Glass!
