FRANKLIN, PA — Track owners Josh and Kyrsten Shiffer are rolling out a special thank-you to fans this Friday, July 17, by offering a unique and affordable night out at Tri-City Raceway Park. Following a frustrating rainout that sidelined last week's racing, the Shiffers wanted to create an exciting incentive to bring the community together and fill the grandstands with high-energy racing families.
The centerpiece of the evening is "Pack the Car Night" promotion, which focuses entirely on providing absolute value for regional groups and families. The Shiffers are opening the gates to any road-legal vehicle—ranging from everyday compact cars and SUVs to packed vans, pickup trucks, and full-sized motorhomes—for a single flat rate of just $40.00 total for grandstand entry. This special event allows entire carloads of friends and families to experience top-tier dirt track racing together under one incredibly budget-friendly price.
Once inside the gates, spectators will experience a premier four-division racing program crafted for high-intensity action on the historic half-mile dirt oval. The thunderous Hovis Auto & Truck Supply 410 Sprint Cars headline the return as they square off in their eighth race of the season. A razor-thin championship battle takes center stage, with Brandon Matus clinging to a single-point lead over the ageless wonder Bob Felmlee, 384 to 383. Felmlee enters the night with two checkered flags already to his name this year, meaning the division heavy hitters are in peak form for Friday's showdown.
In the RK Virgile Iron & Steel Pro Stocks, consistency has been the ultimate key for points leader Jake Whitling. Holding one victory this season, Jake commands a healthy 44-point cushion over challenger Pat Fielding. However, all eyes remain fixed on Bobby Whitling, the track's all-time leading feature winner in the class, who successfully extended his historic record to 66 career checkered flags after picking up a pair of spectacular wins earlier this season.
The open-wheel stars of the 21st Century Energy Group RUSH Sprint Cars have seen total dominance from two drivers across their six previous events. Defending track champion Blaze Myers and veteran Gale Ruth Jr. have split the season perfectly, each capturing three thrilling wins. Myers currently holds a 27-point advantage over Ruth in the standings, leaving fans wondering if a brand-new face will emerge in victory lane or if the Myers-Ruth combination will continue to set the pace.
In the Complete Car Care Center RUSH Stock Cars, the burning question on everyone's mind is whether anyone can slow down the momentum of William Baker Jr. Baker has been nearly unstoppable this summer, capturing seven dominant victories out of the last eight races held at the track. Defending champion Raidden Wilson has been knocking on the door of an upset and sits just 13 points behind Baker heading into Friday night.
The Shiffers are expanding the evening's family-friendly appeal by combining this major ticket promotion with the annual Kids Night. Young race fans aged 15 and under can bring their bicycles directly onto the speedway for the traditional Bike Races during intermission. To ensure full compliance with track safety standards, parents are reminded that helmets are strictly required for all participating children. The track will also host special youth giveaways.

FRANKLIN, PA — After a two-week summer break, engines are ready to fire back up as 4 Star Racing brings an action-packed night of dirt track racing back to Tri-City Raceway Park this Friday night, July 10. Fans will welcome back four weekly divisions alongside two highly anticipated guest classes for a jam-packed schedule on the Venango County half-mile oval.
Headlining the return are the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply 410 Sprint Cars squaring off in their eighth race of the season.
