Holy moly guys! It’s been one heck of a last few weeks!

Diesel Man has been all over the place keeping trucks running and getting people back on the road! We seriously can’t thank you guys enough!

With that being said, we’ve been so busy taking care of everyone else’s diesels that we’ve neglected some much needed maintenance on our own service trucks. We’ll be taking a little time this week to get caught up so we can continue showing up ready to work and serving our customers reliably.

⛽ IMPORTANT FUEL & SERVICE RATE UPDATE 🔧

Unfortunately, diesel prices are climbing again. We’ve tried to absorb the increased fuel costs for as long as possible, but with diesel now exceeding $5.50 per gallon, we have reached the point where we have to adjust our rates to keep our mobile service sustainable.

Effective immediately:

🚛 Mileage Rate: $1.30 per mile

If your service location is outside the city limits of Colorado Springs or Pueblo, mileage will apply.

This includes Monument, Fountain, Woodland Park, and surrounding communities. Regardless of how close you are to Colorado Springs or Pueblo, if you are outside the city limits, mileage applies.

🔧 Colorado Springs & Pueblo Callout Fee: $45

These increases are not intended to be permanent.

Once diesel drops below $4.50 per gallon and stays there consistently for a reasonable period of time, we will reevaluate these rates and bring them back down.

We’ve tried to hold off on increasing these costs, but we also have to maintain a sustainable business. Our service trucks are fully equipped mobile repair shops, and keeping them fueled and on the road is simply becoming more expensive.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support of a locally owned small business.

This customer needed new injectors. A year ago! If you have a misfire, don’t just keep driving it because you can end up causing this! What you’re seeing here is a melted piston from constant fuel being dumped on it

When this 2024 Ram Cummins went into an engine derate warning, it couldn’t make it to a repair shop. Instead, The Diesel Man Mobile Repair & Fleet Services came to the truck at a truck stop in Colorado Springs and performed the diagnosis on-site.

Getting into the truck’s computer wasn’t as simple as plugging in a scan tool. Newer Ram trucks use a secure gateway, so having the proper software subscriptions and professional diagnostic equipment is critical. Fortunately, we have the tools and access needed to communicate with these newer trucks.

After diagnosing the issue, we found the culprit—a loose wire at the DEF doser injector. Once the wiring was repaired and secured, the emissions system began operating correctly, and the engine derate warning cleared on its own without replacing unnecessary parts.
