The fact that I even feel the need to address this is very disheartening. There have been accusations that race plays a factor into how we run our event and how we would like to be perceived. That is far from the truth. Our event is for everyone and as much as we would like the adults to have fun and participate, we also want the next generation to want to be apart of this community and be inspired by it. That means creating a safe environment for everyone to enjoy. I’ve never been the type to feel as if I need to be identified by my race. Yes I am Mexican and I’m proud of that but I’m also a mom, a wife, a business owner and so many other things. To those who showed up regardless of being told we didn’t want you to attend our event, thank you. To those falling victim to the rumors, I’m sorry you felt as if you didn’t belong or that you were not wanted. With that being said, I will not use my race to try and influence anyone to support us and our event. Thank you to everyone that showed up for year 1! Next year is going to be bigger and better and something Colorado has never seen! I’m so proud of my husband and myself for making this event a unique experience! We can’t wait to continue this show and make it the event we intend for it to be!
