Some of you have asked how much power/tq a downpipe would add to an STi with a custom tune from us. Here is a good comparison of 2 almost identical 2020 STIs. One with a (GESI) downpipe and SF Intake, and one with just the SF intake itself. The difference in this case was +3HP and +7ftlb of torque. One is completely CARB Compliant while the other one is not (in CA). Is leaving 3hp and 7ftbs on the table a reasonable compromise to not having to worry about inspection time?🤔🤔

As you may have heard, over the weekend made some big changes to their Accesstuner software and removed all things that have anything to do with EPA/CARB regulated item(s) on a vehicle. While we can’t say we “didn’t see this coming” at some point, it was a pretty abrupt change that occurred over the weekend that has taken all of us (and the industry) by surprise. What this means:
To our current customers that have been calibrated, nothing changes and you can continue enjoying your calibration. Going forward, we will not be able to create flex fuel calibrations, or speed density tunes due to the methods used by the previous versions of Accesstuner to alter the signals back to the ECU. In addition, any modifications to existing calibrations will unfortunately revert and/or delete any previous changes to tables related to flex fuel, speed density, and all things that affect items on the vehicle that is emmission(s) related. It is our understanding that COBB is making every effort to come up with alternate solutions that are 100% compliant, so in the meantime we are discussing internally the best course of action moving forward for our current and upcoming builds. And we will do our best to help answer them. Don’t worry, while all of this seems disruptive to our community, we truly believe that there will be a better way to do things and still enjoy the things we do.
