Mississippi Thunder Speedway Mississippi Thunder Speedway is a 1/3 mile dirt track located just north of Fountain City, WI.

MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY opened for on-track action in 2009 under new ownership and management. The speedway today is a completely remodeled, state-of-the-art racing facility. Formerly a landmark 3/8 mile tri-oval, founded in 1968, the speedway was a unique and often talked of facility in the upper Midwest. But successful modified racer Bob Timm had a vision for the future of racing at this lo

cation. After purchasing the facility at the close of 2008 season, Timm began the work necessary to reshape the once three-turn configuration into a high banked sweeping four corner track sure to excite the best-of-the best. The owners of MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY continue those non-stop efforts of improvements to insure that the track will be here for future generations to love and enjoy! Ticket Prices:

NORTH STAR NATIONALS SEPTEMBER 10TH-12TH

Next weekend we wrap up the 2026 season with the North Star Nationals!

Thursday, September 10th is practice night! $50 per car. All crew members are FREE. Practice will run from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Grandstands will be FREE to the public. Lightning Speedway will follow the same practice pricing and time.

Payouts for Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th are attached to this post. No draw fee for any class except for Modifieds.
Full shows each night!
Passing points for all classes Friday night except for Modifieds. Modifieds will follow USRA Northern Lights Modified Series procedures. Saturday all classes will run passing points except for Modifieds and Outlaw Mini-Mods.
