“How do you ration the feed rate?”
That’s one of the most common questions we get about the Auto Easy Feeder.
The answer depends on YOUR feed type and YOUR operation - and that’s exactly why we designed it to give you full control.
Here’s how to determine your exact feed rate:
• 4’ Unit = 12 openings
• 8’ Unit = 24 openings
• 16’ Unit = 48 openings
To calculate feed output:
1️⃣Collect feed from ONE opening for 10 seconds
2️⃣Weigh the feed collected
3️⃣Multiply that weight by the total number of openings on your feeder
That gives you the exact amount of feed being dispensed every 10 seconds.

Why don’t we preset the timer at the factory?
Because no two operations are the same.
Herd sizes change. Feed types change. Some producers are supplement feeding, others are finishing cattle or weaning calves. Different feeds flow at different rates, and feeding goals change throughout the year.

Ever wonder how the Auto Easy Feeder delivers feed so evenly and consistently?

Inside the 8” pipe is our patented rotor system — shaped similar to an asterisk. As gravity feeds material from the hopper above, the rotor turns and carries feed through precision V-grooves inside the pipe.

As the feed exits, it’s automatically split and distributed evenly to both sides of the trough for a smooth, consistent feed flow.
