I'M A LAST RESPONDER!!!
I'm the last one to get the call
The last one to arrive
The last one to leave

I'm also the last one to show up for dinner
The last one to show up and choir performances, dance recitals, baseball games, and many other family functions.

But most importantly, I'm the last one anyone thinks about when I'm doing my job.
It's that last second reaction that gets me hurt or killed by passing motorists.

To my wife,girlfriend or kids it always feels like I'm putting you LAST.

This couldn't be farther from the truth
Although I'm a LAST responder, you are always first in my mind.

So before you get upset everytime you feel "LAST" PLEASE KNOW you are FIRST in my heart everytime I walk out that door.

Being with me isn't going to be easy, it isnt going to be fun, and there will be a lot of blood,sweat,tears, and fights.....
But just know I fight for you harder than I do anything else
