Get to know Don, a familiar and dependable face in our front office operations here at Indiana Auto Auction! Don has been part of the IAA family for an impressive 15 years, serving as our company courier and helping keep everything moving behind the scenes.
In his role, Don handles a wide range of responsibilities - from delivering checks and titles between dealerships and the auction, to making daily trips to the post office, FedEx, and UPS. He also supports our café with weekly runs to Sam’s Club, helps keep post-sale documents organized on sale days, picks up office and housekeeping supplies, and even assists with transporting guests to and from the airport and other destinations as needed.
Don’s favorite part of working at IAA is serving his teammates and feeling appreciated for the work he does each day.
Over the years, Don has worn several hats at the auction. He started out as a driver, then transitioned into photographing incoming units before the check-in process evolved into what it is today.
Before joining IAA, Don had quite the entrepreneurial spirit. One of his earliest jobs was shining shoes in a barber shop, and he went on to own and operate several small businesses, including lawn services, a hot dog stand, and a sandwich shop. He also worked in property management for 24 years.
Outside of work, Don stays busy with hands-on hobbies like cutting, splitting, stacking, and burning firewood. He’s also active in his community, working the polls on election days, serving as a state delegate, and staying involved with his local church.
If you’ve spent any time around Don, you’ve probably heard his go-to phrase:
“Piece of cake.”
Thank you, Don, for all you do! 👏 Your hard work contributes to the success of .
