Another amazing story - Not only is Scotty perhaps the best high-tech diagnostic man in Fort Wayne, but he does not charge extra for luxury cars. How about this - my roommate Danny has a 2002 Jaguar X Type, with the very complex Dynamic Stability Control system. Speedometer inoperative, skid control inoperative, cruise control not working, warning light on.

I sent him to Scotty. How about these numbers: Diagnosis using full-on computer, and printout of problem codes and recommended repair? $50 !!!!

As a reminder - many modern cars can go well over 200,000 miles with no major problems, but every 5 years or 100 - 120,000 miles change your transmission fluid and filter. Change all fluids (even brake and power steering fluid) at least every 10 years as water slowly builds up and causes rust, which destroys expensive components.

As the unofficial person managing this page I notice a customer posted that our prices are "$$". On facebook this price code means "Normal prices".

I can tell you that in Fort Wayne, Auto Diag's labor rates are somewhat below average, and they are especially fair on the cost of diagnostics.

Perhaps the most important fact is this - Automotive Diagnosis is a place that treats people right, and they are both honest and fair to all.

I must confess something - my name is John Hubertz, and I spent my life working with small Ford dealerships to improve their service departments. I formed this page without Scotty's permission - because I believe his is the finest auto shop in my neighborhood, and perhaps in the entire community of South Fort Wayne. He may be angered I did this, because he is already busy, but sometimes being great at something becomes almost an obligation to the community in which you live. Scotty is my friend, a fine mechanic, a great boss, and a truly good man.

This is a common problem - and we have a qualified car mental-health counselor on our team :)
