Had a customer today come in that had cats done on a f150 ecoboost a few months back. He had a powerloss issue and took it to ford. Paid for diag and they told him the cats were bad. Brought it back to us and we did a back pressure test and showed good. Ford service argued about it and told the customer we put the wrong cats on. I looked at the truck again and noticed a intercooler pipe popped off. Put it back on and the truck drove like a dream. I would like to know who the heck is diagnosing these vehicles? I’m wondering if someone at the dealership took it off so they could sell him a $4000 y pipe. Be cautious my friends. Don’t believe everything the dealership tells you without a second opinion.
