The road to the championship rolls on this Saturday night as the UARA Sportsman Series heads back to Auburndale Speedway for the Blackburn’s BBQ 75 on May 30th. Race #6 of the 2026 season is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable and exciting events yet, as the first five races of the year have produced five different winners.

That parity has turned the UARA Sportsman Series into one of the toughest battlegrounds in short track racing. Every week a new contender rises to the occasion, and with momentum constantly shifting, fans truly have no idea who will end the night in victory lane. One thing is certain — expect the unexpected when these drivers hit the track Saturday night.

Auburndale Speedway is known for producing intense side-by-side racing, aggressive moves, and nonstop action, making it the perfect stage for another chapter in what has already been an unforgettable season.

Event Postponement and Reschedule update:

Lakeland, Fl May 27, 2026 - Due to unfavorable weather expected this weekend at Citrus County Speedway, the BG Products Southern Sprint Car Series and Citrus County Speedway have postponed the May 30th event.

With the price of fuel. weather forecast and driver/teams safety, we didn’t want the teams to have to travel and not get the show in,
BG Products Southern Sprint Car Series and Citrus County Speeday have decided to move the event to June 13th.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter, and look forward to seeing every on June 13th for round 3 of the 2026 Championship Season.

⛈️Due to this weekend’s rainout, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our May 30th Honor To Our Veterans Event. The entire event has now been rescheduled to Saturday, June 13th, including the BG Southern Sprint Cars.

This was an extremely difficult decision to make, especially considering the incredible men and women we planned to honor that night, we had no choice but to move forward in postponing the event. We felt it was important to make sure this event receives the atmosphere, attention, and turnout these heroes truly deserve.

We still fully plan to honor local veterans Chuck Kanehl and Rob Roder along with all veterans, active duty military, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom during the rescheduled event on June 13th.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the track soon. 🇺🇸🏁
