Right now we are in the beginning stages of swarm season for all those unfamiliar with what is going on when you wake up and thousands of flying insects are upon you. Well.. Welcome to Florida...this is round 5, bring out the rains and bugs!! Thank you to all of our Friends, family and customers for all the recent tags in the community posts!!! Hopefully this can answer some of those questions. Like do we do boats, vehicles of any kind, furniture, structural of all shapes sizes, commercial, residential to name some...yes. Do we belive not every fumigation needs tarps..yes! Fumeout even carries licensing to preform agricultural fumigation like citrus trailers, sod farms, crop and feed storage facilities.
Specifically, we are having a huge number of swarms involving the Formosan Subterranean Termite and it's lining up with Drywood Termite Season and this is not good for the treasure coast. Thank you to the Zarbeco microscope we used to
get this amazing shot of a Termite swarmer for the most accurate identification. Two keys as a rookie homeowner to determine Termite v. Ant then leave the Termite species to the pros!
1. Does the body have 2 or 3 segments? Picture below of Termite showing only two segments they do not have a distinguished waste line.
3. Are the wings longer than or same same size as the body? Any Termite species will have wings much longer then their body and ant wings will end about the bottom.
Where 8 years ago I did my first fumigation for Formosans which at that point haven't really crossed Broward County lines...we now get over a 200 a year in that same area for that migrating Termite. UF website does have a Termite tracker for anyone interested in evaluating where they want to purchase a home and what maintenance it will not may, require.
These are hugely misrepresented by any inspectors saying a liquid treatment or termite baiting system or "no tent" is the key to treatment for either of those species. Leaving out that they also have Arial colonies. Those colonies will never be impacted by those treatmens if they found a cozy hidden spot. When considering a Termite company right now we have 3 suggested questions to ask.
1. What Certifications do you have as a wood destroying operator to preform thisTermite inspection? There are those license to sell and then there are those Certified.
2. Do you preform fumigation treatments? Or will this be a subcontracted out treatment? And to whom from where?
3. What guarantees do you offer? And to whom are with really with, and what species specifically will it cover?
We would also like to thank all the pest control companies and inspectors who have referred Fumeout to their clients so they may receive a direct to consumer fumigation company. This allows customers to receive direct pricing as well as all inspectors Lauren, Tom and Jackie, have the highest certifications with the state of Florida. CPO in Wood Destroying Organisms. This Certification allows us to also assist all of our Relator friend's and Real Estate companies who rely on us for that closing WDO report. Fumeout has also had the pleasure to be invited to preform demonstrations for alternative methods at the UF school of fumigation.
We do ask for faster service please call us directly to schedule service or a free termite evaluation. Not all social media is monitored as quickly as trying to handle all the direct calls. Please if you unfortunately receive the voicemail, leave a message, it will be returned promptly. Multiple calls will not help.
