Re-caulking windows is one of those jobs that has to be done cleanly.

It looks simple from the outside, but this is where a lot of water intrusion problems start.

Old or failed window caulking can allow water to work behind the frame, into the interior, and eventually damage finishes, woodwork, and surrounding structure.

The windshield seal had failed, allowing water to work its way past the gasket.

This is one of those problems that can look small from the outside, but inside the boat it can lead to water intrusion, staining, damaged finishes, and bigger repairs if ignored.
