Tomorrow would have marked 4 months for Dad to be at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga but as of today, Ed has left the building!
Dad doesn’t meet a stranger and has formed friendships with the staff at Kindred but he’s ready for what’s next!
Dad was transported to his rehabilitation facility today.
GOD IS GOOD! 🙌

Update on Dad:

It has been almost 4 months since Dads accident.
He was moved from trauma ICU at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga to Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga in December.
We have seen significant progress in his recovery since his accident in November.
His neck collar and trach were removed this week. He may soon be moved to a different facility in order to start his rehabilitation process.
Thank you to everyone that has kept Dad in your thoughts and prayers.
We can not thank you enough.

GOD IS GOOD! 🙌

Update on Dad:

I was with him in his trauma ICU room at Erlanger tonight. Fortunately, I have been able to spend some time with him each day that he has been there. He has had some good days and some days that were not as good. He looked significantly better than he did during the early part of last week. When I was there earlier, at his last check, his temperature was 98.1 and his blood glucose was 90. He has had a total of three surgeries so far. He had surgery on his head last Monday, surgery on his right eye last Tuesday, and surgery on his left hand today. His nurse tonight was able to get him to respond to her command of having him squeeze her hand. They are hoping to remove his ventilator tomorrow.
I’m sure that Dad is wanting to get up and get out of the hospital! He is not one to lay around and not do anything!
We have received a lot of calls, messages, and texts. Dad has even had someone mail a letter to him at the hospital!
Ed Williams is definitely one of a kind!
I know that Dad is a great person but to have so many people share details, stories, and speak so highly of my Dad recently is very heart warming and powerful!
We greatly appreciate all of the excellent care that everyone at Erlanger is providing to him! Erlanger trauma ICU is amazing! Some of his nurses are becoming like family to us. We want to say “Thank you” to all of you who are keeping him in your thoughts and prayers! It means so much to us and we ask you to please continue praying! I know Dad has a huge community supporting him and pulling for him! Dad is a fighter. He may go several rounds but he will come out of this fight VICTORIOUS! To GOD be the GLORY!
