Suction cup Marks on glass
it happens fairly often, especially with glass that has some type of coating or with impact-resistant glass like the kind you work with. It usually happens for two reasons. First, it can be a physical mark—a slight change to the glass surface caused by the pressure of the suction cup. That’s not dirt, so regular cleaning won’t remove it. Second, it can be the result of a chemical reaction, either with the glass coating or with residue trapped underneath the suction cup that ends up leaving a mark on the material. If the mark doesn’t come off with glass cleaner or isopropyl alcohol.
