During a brake job for a customer, I noticed evidence of a leaking water pump as seen by this dry, pink residue.

Common for Toyota water pumps because of the long intervals recommended by the OEM.

I suggest shorter, more frequent changing of all fluids nowadays basically 50% of whatever the manufacturer recommends, in this case would be 50k instead of 100k. Yes, it means for money spent on maintenance but is is far less than on repairs.

Folks, don't forget to have your transmission fluid changed, at least, as often as the owner's manual states. Black transmission fluid means it's been too long. Some manufacturers say 150K miles or "lifetime"...what's lifetime? Honestly, I recommend shorter intervals.

Transmissions (& cars!) these days are so expensive and a fluid change is relatively cheap compared. Give me a call to schedule your maintenance to keep your vehicle running dependably and in top shape for a many miles ahead.

Loose feeling front end? Vibration in your steering wheel at certain speeds? Could be worn out front struts as on this 2012 Chevrolet Colorado. A little hard to see in this photo, but the strut was leaking fluid and no longer performing it's job. New struts & sway bar links on both sides and this customer’s truck is much more stable. Thanks for the business Erik!

Cleaning off the rust behind this brake rotor so the next time the rotor has to come off, it will come off easily. These are the extra steps I take to take care of my customers.

100k mile service for this Honda Odyssey includes spark plug & transmission fluid change. Critical maintenance to make these Hondas last and last. Customer had already been in for the timing belt, timing belt tensioner & water pump service. 250-300k miles for this vehicle would not be surprising.

Customer had an oil leak getting worse & worse, including oil dripping on the exhaust pipes for a smoky situation. Got the oil and the valve cover gaskets replaced for him, now all better!

2016 Honda Odyssey developed a "rattle" on cold start ups. 7 years old, 95K miles, it's due for the timing belt job, anyway. Correctly setting the camshaft sprocket marks is critical. Pretty involved job, but we got it done. Notice the leaking timing belt tensioner in the photo, hence the cause of the rattle.
