A blast from the past! 💥

Originally built in 1953 as a 95‑ft Coast Guard cutter, this vessel served for decades under the name Cape Gull. Once retired from service, it was sold at auction in Fort Lauderdale and renamed Robert Edminster.

On December 11, 1989, Grady Marine towed the Robert Edminster offshore and sent it to the seafloor. Today it rests upright in 70 feet of water as part of Broward County’s artificial reef program!
