Some names in this industry don’t need an introduction. Thomas Anthony (Thomas Anthony Furniture ) is one of them.

We could call this a feature. It’s closer to an admission. When something has to be right, this is who we call.

That’s not a sponsorship. It’s a standard we hold ourselves to, and it shows up in who we choose to work with, not just what we say.

We popped in on our 112 Westport refit project where former Captain Jeremy Nollet shared with us some of the ethos Thomas Anthony operates from.

More from this conversation coming soon..

There are a few things first-time boat owners almost always get wrong about a refit. Chief amongst which is: the budget.

Not because they’re bad at math, because they’re picturing the wrong process, to no fault of their own.

Most owners think of a refit like renovating a house. Swap the stone, done. But a boat isn’t built that way.

Take a marble countertop on a built-in bar from a 112 Westport built in 2012: it usually went in sequentially, base first, then the marble, then the structure layered on top of it, down to the smallest plastic fitting.

So “just update the color” actually means undoing a sequence, not swapping a surface 😅.

That’s the part that quietly inflates a budget. Not overspending. Misunderstanding what “simple” costs on a boat.

We’ve got FLIBS fever (😮‍💨+🥹).

This is the exciting part of this season. So if you plan on stopping by our usually beautiful showroom, pardon the mess 😅.

How often do you get to get a glimpse at the actual work that goes behind these gorgeous yacht’s interiors?

Hop onboard this 112’ Westport Yacht with me for a quick insight on the various stages of an interior refit on such a classic interior.

The goal is to take it into 2026 without loosing some of it core charms that Westports of that time period are known for (still not hating on cherry wood okay 😅).

Behind the finished, polished, Instagram-ready luxurious end result, there are a thousand hands, often invisible.

Well, here’s to you, you who scrapes, cuts, measures, staples, finishes, tests, bends into tiny spaces.

Contrary to “popular belief”, cherrywood can work 😅.

Often, the move is not to actually change it (or fight it). Instead, find the common base throughout the boat, and make everything else work around it.

This 112 Westport built in 2012, known for its classic interior layout and textures, is a great template where vintage vibes can live harmoniously with modern touches 😌.

The truth is: not every idea will play out. That’s just how it goes. This is why we exist. To help ya by owners translate ideas into tangible, luxurious, and most of all effective realities.

We don’t walk around with needles popping every client’s bubbles, we’re not that mean 😅. But we operate within the confines of what’s actually possible, with a dash of style.

And yes, purple and gold tassels are a flex (you’re welcomed to fight us on this 😤).

Yacht broker Bryan Soulie shares his insight on updating the linen program aboard yachts, specifically the production boats that come with a certain stock finish at the factory-level.

Bryan’s focus on a specific range of yachts has afforded him key insights on this aspect, chief amongst which is the value of making smart upgrades that will in turn bump up his client’s yacht into the custom yacht level.

Proper Linen care, especially at sea, can easily be overlooked amidst the hustle and bustle of life aboard a yacht. Don’t worry, we got you.

Based on what we’ve experienced, these are the 6 common mistakes most of us do that ruin linens fast.

Washing everything on hot 🔥.
Believe it or not, this does happen 😅. We don’t know why, but it’s a thing. Heat is the fastest way to break down fine linen fibers.

To bleach or not to bleach ⚪️
Sometimes, this has the opposite effect, because unbeknownst to us mere mortals, even most gentle whitening detergents often contain optical brightners.

DON’T set it and forget it.
Pro tip: pull linens slightly damp when possible.

Soft, with a cost.
Natural fibers prefer going uncoated most of the time.

Bad linen storage 💧
Humidity and sealed storage, especially at sea, is just a bad mix. Let linens breathe.

Speaking of exposure…
Salt residue from the sea air transfers between fabrics. So, treat them differently.
