With spring in full swing, vehicles are coming out of storage and getting spruced up for the driving season. One of the most common issues we see when vehicles come out of storage is mice nests and damage from mice! Mice love to nibble on wires, and this can take out alternators, wiper motors, and other electrical components of the vehicle. Engines and other parts of the car also make a safe, warm place for them to nest in the winter; this can also affect how the vehicle performs once it’s out of storage. Our techs have encountered some impressive mice nests built up in vehicles after the winter, sometimes with the mice still in them! Another issue we often encounter is wiring that has been nibbled on, which can take out wiper blade motors, alternators, and more! Mice may be cute, but they are also destructive and can delay your spring and summer driving season!
