Hey Fort Bliss car lovers,

Got a soft spot for engines, tools, and the smell of a good garage?

Auto Skills could use you.

We have a volunteer position listed in VIMS and we are looking for a few people who enjoy being around vehicles and helping others figure things out under the hood.

Volunteers help keep the shop running smoothly, support customers using the bays, help keep an eye on safety, and assist with basic guidance when someone is elbow deep in a project and could use a second set of eyes.

Because of volunteer status you will not perform customer repairs and you will not handle money.
This is more about helping the garage community and keeping the good vibes in the shop.

If you like tools, torque, and talking shop, come hang out with us at Auto Skills. The garage is better when it is full of good people.

Good morning, Fort Bliss community!

The Fort Bliss Auto Crafts will be operating on minimum manning this upcoming holiday weekend. The hours for the Fort Bliss Auto Crafts during the President's Day Holiday are as follows:

Friday, 13 February 2026, 0800-1700. Mandatory clean-up is one hour prior at 1600.

Saturday, 14 February 2026, 0800-1700. Mandatory clean-up is one hour prior at 1600.

During both days the facility will be DIY only! There will not be any Texas State Inspections or Full Services available.

There will also not be a Safety Orientation on Friday, 13 February 2026, at 0900 hours. The next will be offered on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, at 0900 hours.

Please remember that when using the facility that all personnel within the rented bay area must possess a valid DA Form 3031-1, (Qualification Card for the Use of the Automotive Crafts Shop), and that is current within the last 3 years (January 2024-January 2026).

Attention customers. Please be advised this holiday weekend we will be working on shortened hours with minimal manning.

Friday, 16 January 2026, we'll be 0800-1700. Cleanup begins at 1600. There will not be a safety orientation.

Attention Fort Bliss community.
The Fort Bliss Auto Crafts will be operating on adjusted hours this upcoming weekend. The hours are as follows:
Friday, 7 November and Saturday, 8 November 0800-1700. Services and TSI will operate normally, DIY cleanup will start at 1500 and ends at 1600.

The facility will be closed from 9 through 11 November in observation of the Veterans day holiday.

Normal operations and hours resume on 12 November.
